Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Maintain clear communication with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Manage guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and menu offerings.
- Support food service operations by assisting with guest needs, ensuring food safety standards are upheld, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Utilize POS systems to process orders accurately and handle guest payments efficiently.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing registers accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices.
- Previous experience in restaurant environments is a plus.
