What You’ll Do
As a Dietary Aide, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our residents and guests have an enjoyable dining experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Dining Room Service:
- Wait on tables in the restaurant/dining room, maintaining proper table settings and ensuring cleanliness.
- Serve residents promptly, courteously, and in an orderly manner, following proper serving etiquette.
- Clear tables after meals, reset for the next service, and ensure the dining area is clean and inviting.
- Kitchen Assistance:
- Wash and sanitize cooking and serving items, as well as kitchen equipment, walls, and floors.
- Assist with weekly inventory, receive vendor deliveries, and store products appropriately.
- Special Functions & Events:
- Prepare for and work during special functions, ensuring a seamless dining experience for all attendees.
- Resident Support:
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and guests, demonstrating a cheerful and professional attitude at all times.
- Provide backup support to other departments and assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents.
- Safety & Sanitation:
- Follow all sanitation and safe food handling guidelines.
- Support fall prevention programs and maintain a restraint-free environment for residents.
- Teamwork & Dependability:
- Attend in-service classes and staff meetings as required.
- Be dependable and punctual, meeting all schedule requirements.
