In this engaging role, you will be the face of our specialty tea and spice shop, guiding customers through a rich selection of aromatic teas and vibrant spices. Your energy and passion will inspire customers to explore new flavors, while your personality help create memorable shopping experiences.
Hiring seasonal/part-time help, Monday- Friday, open availability is preferred.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers with selecting products based on their preferences and needs, upselling where appropriate
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stock replenishment
- Refilling the bagged consumables on the floor as they are sold
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely, ensuring clear communication
- Support store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting and safe environment for shoppers
- This is a food establishment with allergens. Maintaining strict cleanliness is a must
Skills
- Experience preferred with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales processes
- Proven record of accountability, job-stability, and reliability
- Works well under pressure and able to stand for full shift
- Strong communication, including inter-personal skills and eye-contact is a must
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions
- Skilled in merchandising is a plus
- Works well alone and/or with a team
- Excellent phone etiquette coupled with customer service expertise to handle inquiries professionally
- Past inventory experience is ideal
- Attention to detail a must espeically when cleaning
- Past barista experience a plus as we do have a Tea Bar
