 The Spice House is looking for a Retail Inventory Associate who will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and efficient inventory levels at our busy Milwaukee Public Market store. This position requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Shifts may vary based on seasonality and operational need but will average 3-4 shifts per week, approximately 12-20 hours during non-seasonal times. 

Responsibilities:

• Receive and organize weekly incoming merchandise deliveries
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the company’s inventory management system
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy in the store systems
• Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory in both on-site and off-site storage locations
• Collaborate with the sales team to maintain optimal product levels on the sales floor; replenishing as needed
• Identify and resolve inventory issues in a timely manner
• Support and execute sales floor organization, cleanliness and maintenance needs
• Support and execute weekly product and supply ordering
• Support visual set up and merchandising as needed
• Support peak shifts as a cashier in the retail store
• Be well versed inl product knowledge of current inventory 
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide guidance as needed
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment

• Minimum 2-3 years retail experience and/or relatable experience
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be available minimally between 8am-4pm weekdays and open for a weekend shift Ideal shifts may include Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and/or Sunday but could vary 
• Passion for food and flavor is a must!

Classification: Part-time, Hourly, non-exempt

Essential Functions of the Job: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to read, count and write accurately. Must be able to climb ladders, work standing for extended periods of time and move items that can weigh up to 50 pounds.
