Overview
The Spence School seeks a dynamic, passionate, growth-oriented teacher to join our innovative and highly collaborative Lower School. This position represents an exciting opportunity to join a school engaged in the ongoing refinement of a nurturing and rigorous approach to teaching and learning whose foundation is the abiding belief that all children are curious and able learners.
Responsibilities
- Teach all disciplines related to the homeroom curriculum: Literacy, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Health.
- Collaborate on teaching teams to design curriculum, assessments, and teaching methods
- Participate in department and division-wide initiatives about issues of equity, pedagogy, curriculum and citizenship
- Engage with parents about individual children and grade wide curriculum
- Write twice yearly student reports

- Possesses Masters degree in Elementary Education
- Has sustained teaching experience at the upper elementary level

Salary : $67,675 - $134,227
