Job Summary:
The Automotive Detailer will detail vehicles according to company standards, which may include but is not limited to performing detail inspections, thoroughly washing, paint correcting, and coating exteriors, vacuuming, steaming, and cleaning interiors, and keeping records related to the condition of the vehicle. Ideal candidates also possess strong customer service skills and are familiar with the tools and agents used to clean and maintain vehicles.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Detailing and correcting vehicle interiors and exteriors in compliance with all company standards.
- Operating polishers, steamers, vacuums, extractors, and other equipment to meet service expectations.
- Using cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of vehicles.
- Performing inspections and keeping complete, accurate records of the vehicle’s condition.
- Moving and parking vehicles, delivering vehicles to correct locations as needed.
- Managing inventory and reordering supplies.
- Maintaining clean tools and workspace.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of advanced vehicle detailing and paint correction methods, tools, and products.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly dependable and approachable.
- Self-motivated and extremely attentive to detail.
- Ability to perform excellent work in a timely fashion.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle
- Ability to safely operate auto lifts
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of professional automotive detailing including advanced paint correction.
- Experience with PPF and Coating installation is a plus but not required
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license required.
- Must be willing to perform a work sample interview to confirm skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
- Must be able to spend extended periods of time on feet.
- Must be able to visually inspect vehicle to determine corrections needed.
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. Proper PPE must be utilized.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to comply with all company policies and uphold standards for service quality.
