Part-Time Sales Associate

Sales Associates have the opportunity to build meaningful and long-term relationships with customers. With their comprehensive knowledge, our Sales Associates guide and advise customers looking to furnish an entire room or simply add an accent piece. Our Sales Associates are up-to-date on the latest trends and are trained to work with a range of design styles. In addition, Sales Associates utilize digital tools and technology during in-store consultations to show our customers how our furniture, fabrics, and decor can bring their visions to life. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Ensure all customers are provided with gracious, quick, and efficient service.
• Keep awareness of all systems, products, and resources throughout the store.
• Demonstrate company standards in selling, customer service, visual merchandising, and teamwork.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and the use of strong interpersonal skills.
• Develop new and lasting relationships with customers.
• Provide feedback, share observations, assessments, and ongoing solutions with the team.
• Focus on promoting sales by maintaining a strong, visible, and positive presence on the sales floor.
• Develop, share, and apply furniture product expertise by staying informed of industry trends.
• Communicate regularly, effectively, and efficiently with all company associates and business contacts.
• Support teamwork by assisting in training and development of associates.
• Possess a complete understanding and awareness of applicable company policies and procedures including loss prevention and security and safety guidelines outlined in the employee handbook.
• Other duties as assigned - including non-selling work.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Good reading, written, and verbal language skills. (English)
• Strong ability to greet customers, answer questions, offer product suggestions, and resolve minor issues with professionalism and warmth.
• Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds or heavier merchandise with team assist.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with checkout software (Square, Shopify, or similar platforms).
• Knowledge of using Business Suite, Instagram, Facebook or other platforms to assist with digital sales or customer inquiries.
• Keeping the showroom clean, merchandise displayed properly, and backroom items organized.

REQUIREMENTS

• Basic understanding of sales techniques and customer engagement (required)
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule - 2 or more Saturdays (required)
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent (required)
• Some college or coursework in interior design, art, or related field (preferred)
• 1 year of retail, customer service, or sales experience (preferred)
• Experience in furniture, home décor, or design consulting (preferred)
