Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Youth Residential Services
Location: Post Falls, ID
Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time
Pay: $20.64
Expected Hours: 32-40 or 16-24 per week
Minimum Qualifications (required to apply):
· 21 years of age or older
· High School Diploma or GED
· At least 1 year of experience working with youth or vulnerable populations
· Valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance
· Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs
· Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
Preferred Credentials (not required to apply):
· Current child and adult CPR/AED/First Aid
· Current Food Handler’s Permit
· Current Right Response Certification

The Source of Spokane is hiring compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). We have four locations; Central Spokane, North Spokane (Mead area), Clayton and Post Falls. At our Post Falls location, you'll be working directly with youth (ages 10–21) in a residential setting who are part of the foster care system.
We provide 24/7 care through our Behavioral Rehabilitative Services (BRS), Out-of-Home Services (OHS) and Enhanced Respite Services (ERS) programs. Our mission is grounded in the belief that all youth deserve dignity, respect, and a safe environment to grow and thrive.
What You’ll Do:
· Support youth as they pursue individualized goals and developmental milestones.
· Provide daily care, behavioral support, and crisis de-escalation when needed.
· Accurately document observations, behaviors, and any incidents.
· Safely administer and document medication distribution.
· Offer transportation to and from appointments, school, or community outings.
· Help maintain a structured, clean, and emotionally supportive living space.
· Be a reliable and positive presence, especially on weekends and overnight shifts.
