Role Description The Barista role at The Source Coffee Roastery Taproom is a full-time, on-site position based in Sioux Falls, SD. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and serving specialty coffee and espresso beverages, craft beer (as applicable), and light food items in accordance with company recipes and quality standards. The Barista will operate brewing and espresso equipment, maintain a clean and organized bar and customer area, and ensure proper stocking of ingredients and supplies. This role involves greeting guests, taking orders, processing payments, and providing friendly, knowledgeable service that reflects the company’s commitment to hospitality. The Barista will also support the team by assisting with opening and closing duties, following health and safety guidelines, and contributing to a positive, collaborative work environment.

- Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create a welcoming, attentive guest experience.
- Barista experience or demonstrated interest in specialty coffee, including basic knowledge of espresso and brewing techniques.
- Clear Communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Food Preparation skills and an understanding of basic food safety and cleanliness standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move supplies, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous experience in hospitality, café, or taproom settings is beneficial but not required.
