Job Overview
This position's primary responsibility is to work efficiently in a team setting involving the retail sales floor at the SVDP Plymouth Store. This is a casual part-time position generally scheduled Monday through Friday from approximately 4-7 pm and/or every other weekend. Shift times will be planned in advance with some flexibility.
Position Description
Details of this position include cashiering, customer service, stocking and maintaining the sales floor. The person selected for this position will have the opportunity to work primarily part-time afternoons in a moderately paced, friendly environment. Ideal candidates are those who are looking to work with a team to fill part-time hours. The person selected for this position will have the opportunity to participate in planning their hours and days of availability to match SVDP requirements. This person is expected to be accountable to the guidelines which support the purpose and mission of SVDP. Consistently presenting positive customer and team interactions is essential.
Qualifications
- Presenting a positive customer interaction disposition is required
- Previous cashiering and/or customer service is preferred but not mandatory
- Handling customer concerns in a professional manner is required
- Demonstrates safe business practices affecting coworkers and customers
- Confidently identifies and communicates ways to improve our processes and/or services
- Promotes positive discussion and invites others to contribute their thoughts while initiating collaboration toward continuous improvement
- Willingness to take initiative
