Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to keep the store inviting and well-organized
- Maintain proper phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and organizing displays
- Apply retail math skills for accurate cash handling and sales reconciliation
- Use effective communication skills to inform customers about promotions, loyalty programs, and product details
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts to ensure smooth daily operations
- Perform basic grocery store functions such as scanning items, managing checkout lines, and ensuring cleanliness
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking practices, and store presentation standards
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills in fast-paced environments
- Basic math skills for retail transactions, inventory counts, and cash handling accuracy
- Prior experience in grocery stores or similar retail settings is beneficial but not required
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a lively retail environment

Our product line includes laundry detergent, booster oil, mop soap, all purpose cleaner, room spray, candles, pet spray, pet soap, body butter, sugar scrub, whipped soap, body oil, bar soap, shampoo bars, bath salt, hand soap, shower steamers, shave bars, bubble truffles, bath bombs, cuticle balm, facial bars, bug off, beard oil, lip balm and gift boxes.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 per week
