We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our dental team. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth, professional, and welcoming experience for our patients from the first phone call to the completion of treatment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a patient-first attitude, and the ability to manage multiple administrative responsibilities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Patient Interaction & Scheduling
- Greet patients warmly in person and over the phone.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure minimal wait times and efficient treatment.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and financial policies.
- Answer patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, billing, and appointments.
Administrative Duties
- Manage patient records and ensure accurate data entry.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Handle billing and payment processing.
- Follow up with patients regarding appointments, treatment plans, and outstanding balances.
- Maintain the front desk area and ensure all paperwork is up to date.
Team Collaboration
- Communicate clearly with dentists, hygienists, and other team members about patient needs and schedules.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving practice efficiency and patient care.
- Assist with marketing and patient recall efforts when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a dental or medical office (front desk or coordinator role preferred).
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix)
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
