Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes while ensuring HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures, assist with chairside tasks including four-handed dentistry and X-ray imaging, and maintain aseptic technique throughout all clinical activities
- Take vital signs, medical history updates, and perform basic medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care
- Operate dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners and X-ray machines while adhering to infection control protocols
- Support clinical staff with procedures in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry by understanding dental terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Maintain accurate medical records, process medical coding for billing purposes, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist in managing dental supplies inventory and sterilization processes to uphold infection control standards
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Experience with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, vital signs measurement, and aseptic technique
- Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental clinic environment
- Familiarity with general dentistry procedures and working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment
- Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist and team player in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Prior experience in general dentistry or specialized fields such as prosthodontics or endodontics is advantageous

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
