Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis, utilizing dental terminology and medical imaging techniques.
- Deliver a wide range of dental treatments such as restorations, root canal therapy, extractions, implants, orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety during all procedures.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on healthcare diagnosis, anatomy knowledge, and client communication to meet each patient's unique needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote ongoing dental wellness.
- Collaborate with team members proficient in dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to streamline patient flow and recordkeeping.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice dentistry with current credentials for providing general dentistry services.
- Proven experience in dental office or clinic environments with familiarity in dental fabrication, dental implants, oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and healthcare diagnosis processes.
- Skilled in client communication with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly and empathetically.
- Proficiency in using dental software platforms like Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, records management, and billing.
- Knowledge of infection control standards including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures.
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontic work, and other advanced procedures confidently.
