POSITION SUMMARY: This role is responsible for maintaining an accurate flow of transaction activity through the general ledger management. The primary responsibilities are bank and credit card reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank deposits, month-end close reconciliations and reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Record and invoice for various YMCA Departments.
- Maintain accurate vendor files as source for all accounts payable activity
- Process payments for vendors and staff using multiple platforms
- Complete standard month end journal entries to support financial statement preparation
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, quarterly or yearly as required must be met
- Provide assistance to all staff with general accounting/bookkeeping procedures
- Produce employee payroll and maintain all necessary reporting
- Draft and submit the quarterly B&O tax returns.
- Prepare and issue IRS 1099 according to IRS guidelines.
- Enter the association budget data into accounting system.
- Support annual audit
- Complete special projects and perform other duties as required.

- This position is based on a 40-hour workweek and will be scheduled within regular business hours Monday through Friday.
QUALIFICATONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five years' experience of general accounting
- Must possess computer accounting software experience and advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheets (Paycom and QuickBooks knowledge beneficial)
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Current state approved certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid & Bloodborne Pathogens, as well as Abuse Prevention and Mandatory Reporting training required within 90 days of hire.
