Position: Assistant Innkeeper

Reports to: General Manager
Position Overview
The Sales and Marketing Manager at The Inn’s primary purpose is to drive sales, both direct and indirect, and marketing content through our content channels. This role ensures the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, strengthens team performance, and upholds the brand standards of our boutique, narrative-driven property. This role supports the operations of Events.
The Candidate for this role is eager, determined, exercises strong organization skills, and a true self-starter. This candidate can evoke and embody brand standard and culture both internally and externally, verbally and written.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day sales and marketing operation
- Ensure condition of event spaces regularly to maintain the Six Bells Countryside Inn brand standards.
- Maintain strong customer service standards; resolve guest concerns with professionalism and warmth.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining SOPs and operational documentation.
- Event Sales Assistance
- Oversee daily email communication with clients and prospective customers in a timely manner.
Event and Sales Responsibilities
- Maintaining client profiles
- Creating, updating, and maintaining BEOs
- Coordinating with the GM and Kitchen on event related food and service
- Maintaining relationships with local businesses for direct sales
- Contracting, amending, and negotiating event sales
- Developing a list of corporate and brand clients
- Event Execution, including staffing and cleanup management
Marketing Responsibilities
- Supports GM and Kitchen in creating marketing materials, including social, print, and newsletters
- Developing packages for the Inn and Tavern
- Maintaining a knowledge base of marketing efforts, both historical and present
Inn Support
- As needed, the Sales and Marketing Manager will aide Front Desk positions in need periods.
Tavern Support
- As needed, the Sales and Marketing Manager may be required to aide in FOH positions in need periods.
Retail Support
- The Sales and Marketing Manager will aid the Front Desk and Retail team in inventory management,
Qualifications
- 3-5 Years of Hospitality Experience, 1-2 years in leadership or supervisory positions
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with hospitality systems at an administrative level (Toast, ResyOS, Mews, or similar).
- Exceptional organization and multitasking abilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to squat, stand, lean, stoop, and bend
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to Stand, Sit, Walk for extended periods
