Position Summary
The Front Desk Agent at The Six Bells Countryside Inn serves as the first and last point of contact for our guests. This role is central to creating a warm, welcoming, and well-orchestrated countryside inn experience. Front Desk Agents are responsible for guest check-ins and check-outs, reservations support, communication across departments, and delivering thoughtful, attentive service throughout each guest’s stay.
Key Responsibilities
· Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a positive first impression
· Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately
· Manage reservations, room assignments, and guest profiles using the property management system (MEWS preferred)
· Respond to guest inquiries in person, by phone, and via email
· Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and resolve issues
· Proactively address guest needs, questions, and service recovery situations
· Process payments, folios, and nightly close procedures as assigned
· Maintain front desk organization, cleanliness, and presentation
· Share local knowledge, property amenities, and Six Bells offerings with guests
· Uphold brand standards reflective of The Six Bells’ rustic, elevated countryside identity
Qualifications & Skills
· Prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to remain calm, organized, and guest-focused in a fast-paced environment
· Comfortable using computers and reservation systems (MEWS, Resy, or similar platforms preferred)
· Strong attention to detail and follow-through
· Professional appearance and demeanor
· Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods, move throughout the property, and lift up to 25 lbs as needed. Must be comfortable working in a guest-facing hospitality environment.
