Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to ensure a pristine appearance.
- Conduct carpet cleaning procedures to remove stains, dirt, and debris, maintaining a fresh look throughout the facility.
- Apply floor care treatments including polishing and buffing to preserve the longevity and shine of various flooring surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, hallways, lobbies, and other public areas by sanitizing surfaces and replenishing supplies.
- Follow established safety protocols during cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure environmental compliance.
- Use specialized equipment for janitorial tasks such as floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and buffers efficiently and safely.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with a focus on floor care and environmental services preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques for different surfaces including tile, vinyl, wood, and carpeted areas.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment such as buffers, carpet cleaners, and floor scrubbers.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow safety procedures diligently while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout shifts.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
