Environmental Services Aide (Housekeeper)
Description: Seeking a Full Time Environmental Services Aide (Housekeeper) to support the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of resident, clinical, public, and administrative areas at Our Lady of Angels Convent or Assisi House, depending on assignment.
Schedule: Day shift hours based on department needs. Weekend and holiday availability may be required at Assisi House.
Key duties include:
Performing daily cleaning and disinfecting duties in resident rooms, clinical areas, public spaces, and administrative offices
Sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping, and mopping floors, with attention to corners, baseboards, and high-touch surfaces
Cleaning and polishing bathroom fixtures, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, walls, and floors
Cleaning occupied and unoccupied resident rooms according to departmental and infection control procedures
Using appropriate cleaning supplies, chemicals, and germicidal solutions safely and effectively
Stocking and transporting supplies and replenishing restrooms with paper products and soap
Maintaining a neat and organized service cart and ensuring supply closets remain secure
Inspecting assigned areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper functionality
Following all infection control guidelines, universal precautions, and workplace safety procedures
Reporting maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or work-related incidents promptly
Key requirements include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 months experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or a related customer service field preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills when interacting with residents, staff, and volunteers
Ability to safely lift up to 25 lbs. and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
Starting pay within the established range will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, certifications, specialized skills, demonstrated capabilities, internal equity, and operational needs.
