Host/Food Runner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Host/Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers to create an outstanding dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
• Assist servers by ensuring that all orders are complete before they are served to guests.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests from guests.
• Help maintain cleanliness in the dining area by bussing tables and clearing away used dishes promptly.
• Support food preparation efforts as needed, ensuring that all items are presented beautifully for guests.
• Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance with menu items or special dietary needs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods, particularly during banquets or large events.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members.
• Knowledge of hospitality standards and practices is a plus.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $7.25 - $10.00 per hour
