About the Position
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Prep & Cook to join our small team. This person will be responsible for preparing ingredients each morning and making sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and light breakfast and lunch items to order.
This is a prep-focused position with very little traditional cooking. Most food preparation is completed in the morning so that we are ready to serve our customers quickly and consistently throughout the day.

Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and complete morning food preparation before service begins
- Prep ingredients for sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and light breakfast and lunch items
- Prepare basic breakfast foods such as eggs, breakfast meats, and other simple ingredients
- Assemble and prepare food orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate a panini press, toaster oven, and crock pots
- Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food-preparation procedures
- Keep the kitchen, prep areas, equipment, and workstations clean and organized
- Properly store, label, and rotate food and ingredients
- Maintain a clean and safe food-preparation environment
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and consistency
- Help with general kitchen duties as needed
- Provide friendly, respectful service to customers and coworkers
What We're Looking For
- Previous kitchen, food prep, café, restaurant, or similar experience preferred
- Must know how to prepare and prep basic breakfast and lunch foods
- Comfortable working independently and staying on task
- Reliable and dependable — being on time is very important
- Able to follow recipes and instructions consistently
- Clean, organized, and attentive to food safety
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Able to work at a steady pace and handle occasional busy periods
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing routine kitchen tasks
Preferred Experience
- Coffee shop or café experience is a plus
- Bakery experience is a plus
- Experience with breakfast and sandwich preparation is Required
- Food-handler certification is a plus
Schedule
We are preferably looking for someone who wants full-time hours, primarily during the week, with availability to work some Sundays.
