Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Associate Attorney at The Simon Law Group. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice, conducting research, negotiating settlements, and specializing in Personal Injury Law. The role is based in Phoenix, AZ, onsite with flexibility for some remote work.
Interested candidates must have 1-3 or more years of personal injury/ and or civil litigation experience and must be licensed to practice in Arizona.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Propound and respond to discovery.
- Perform legal research, draft motions, complaints, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop legal strategies.
- Interview clients to understand case details, identify issues, and determine a strategy for settlement or trial.
- Manage multiple cases and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Take and defend all levels of depositions from witnesses, parties, and experts.
- Correspond with clients and opposing counsel.
- Help clients prepare for mediation sessions or settlement conferences with opposing counsel.
- Prepare and file court documents such as complaints or motions.
Qualifications
- Legal Advice, Negotiation, and Research skills
- Experience in Personal Injury Law
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona
- Experience in handling personal injury cases is a plus
Base salary: $100k, based on experience and qualifications.
