Duties and responsibilities
Primary Duties:
- Accountable for the Installation of each client's project while meeting all quality and productivity targets according to the forecast and/or scheduling timelines.
- Assist the Installation Manager daily within the department to help fulfill the daily and weekly goals.
- Ensure standard work procedures are being developed and adhered to for the Installation department.
- Accountable for equipment, maintenance and preventative maintenance as assigned by the Installation manager
- Strive and obtain consistent, dependable, predictable, quality
- Accountable for assisting in the training of new Installation department employees.
- Work effectively with other departments to achieve daily and weekly goals
- Initiate action with Installation Manager when work orders or production items are not received on time and complete which may impact installation process and timelines.
- Proactive communication to help eliminate issues that prevent poor or inconsistent quality, slow install times, and reproductions.
- Ensure final quality with finished products from the Installation department
- Strive for continuous improvement to include updated installation methods, productivity, turn time, equipment performance, quality, reproductions, and employee safety while engaging and challenging the department team for improvement ideas.
- Accountable for knowing your department's weekly reproduction cost and conclusions.
- Strive for continuous improvement initiatives and moral
- Mindful of labor, material and overtime cost
- Accountable for keeping materials in stock per Management's request
- Accountable for the organization and cleanliness of the installation vehicles and post install areas
- Report any Health and Safety issues to the Management immediately.
- Conducts all work duties as per the Occupational Health & Safety Act & Regulations, the health, safety & environmental policies, procedures.
- Performs any other reasonable assignments / extra hours given by the Management or his/her designates such as the production manager when the install manager is unavailable
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- High School Graduate
- 1-2 years Sign Installation experience is a plus
- Ability to lead a team, plan and execute that plan
- Strong Communicator, Integrity and reliable
- Professional Certifications are a plus
- OSHA 10 / OSHA 30 training will be provided
Working conditions
Conditions include using extreme caution for each employee's safety day in and day out. Conditions also include lifting heavy objects, working outdoors during hot and cold weather days. Some late evenings, weekends, and overnight travel are occasionally needed.
Physical requirements
Some days there are physical demands such as standing for long periods of time while doing repetitive tasks outdoor and indoors.
Direct reports
- All Installation department employees are to report directly to the Installation Manager as well as the Installation Leads on days not reporting to the facility.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
