What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor position at The Shore Club Hotel?
Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor
The Shore Club – Spring Lake, NJ
The Shore Club is looking for a hands-on, reliable, and experienced Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This is a key role responsible for maintaining the property’s overall appearance, functionality, and guest-ready standards across our hotel, restaurant, and event spaces.
This is not a sit-back management position — we are looking for someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty while also helping oversee projects and occasional team support.
What You’ll Do
- Perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs across the property (guest rooms, restaurant, bar, event spaces, and common areas)
- Troubleshoot and fix issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general facilities
- Take full ownership of maintenance requests from start to finish
- Prioritize and respond to urgent repairs in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, safe, and fully operational environment at all times
- Oversee and coordinate outside vendors when needed
- Occasionally lead or delegate tasks to additional maintenance staff or helpers
- Keep organized records of work completed and ongoing projects
- Assist in preventative maintenance planning and execution
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in general maintenance, facilities, or construction
- Knowledge of basic systems: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs
- Ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision
- Leadership mindset — able to manage small teams or helpers when needed
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, organized, and accountable
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Why Join The Shore Club
- Work in a high-energy, fast-growing hospitality environment
- Be part of a team that takes pride in the property and guest experience
- Opportunity to take ownership of a critical role within the operation
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Growth potential as we continue to expand
If you’re someone who takes pride in your work, moves fast, and wants to be a key part of keeping a top-tier property running at a high level, we want to hear from you.
