Join our team at The Shopping as a Newspaper Carrier and become a vital part of delivering the good news to the local community. As a Newspaper Carrier, you will be responsible for safely transporting newspapers along designated routes, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery.
Duties
- Load newspapers onto your vehicle, ensuring proper handling and secure placement for delivery
- Drive along assigned routes using written driving directions and carrier route maps using your vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Safely lift, carry, and load newspapers, practicing proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury
- Deliver newspapers to residential and commercial addresses on time
- Follow DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations during route driving, including weight handling in the workplace and safe lifting practices
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 18 years or older
- Must be able to lift a 35 lb. bag
