Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent customer service that encourages repeat visits.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately, handle cash transactions, and balance registers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering strictly to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist with food service when needed, including serving appetizers or snacks to complement drinks.
- Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; communicate needs for restocking promptly.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills by efficiently juggling multiple orders during busy hours while ensuring quality service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar food service role; fine dining or nightclub experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, proper food handling techniques, and responsible serving practices.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math understanding for inventory management, and overall hospitality math proficiency.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous banquet or catering experience is a plus; experience working in the food industry or retail math skills are beneficial.
