Overview
The Shipping Store and more in Duluth, GA is an Authorized ShipCenter of UPS, FedEx and USPS that is hiring for full-time, part-time and weekend sales associates. The position of retail sales associate is responsible for assisting customers with their shipping, packing, copying, and printing needs as well as various other business services. Training is provided. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong desire to help customers find the products that best meet their needs. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience, driving sales, and contributing to the overall success of our store.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and services.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions and sales to effectively inform customers.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall shopping experience.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive interactions.
- Proficient in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
