Duties
- Safely operate a cargo van or box truck to deliver goods across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload packages efficiently using manual lifting techniques, or pallet jacks, when necessary
- Ensure accurate delivery by verifying orders against delivery manifests and obtaining signatures from customers upon receipt
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and addressing any delivery concerns with a positive attitude
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are met
- Plan efficient routes using GPS or route management software to maximize productivity and timely deliveries
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to drive commercial vehicles such as box trucks or vans
- Experience with route driving in various environments and navigating urban or rural areas confidently
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including load & unload procedures, heavy lifting, moving items safely, and equipment like pallet jacks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo handling
Requirements
- Valid driver license . Class C
- Able to pass the background check
- Spanish speakers is a plus
- Over 21 years old
- Lease or own the vehicle
