The Sherbert Group is looking for a Tax Credit & Real Estate Associate to become an integral part of our team.
Responsibilities
- Major programs of focus: Historic Tax Credits, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Energy Tax Credits, New Markets Tax Credits, State Tax Credits, Opportunity Zones
- Financial modeling for multi-tier real estate transactions
- Reviewing real estate due diligence materials
- Asset management of wide platform of investments
- Researching federal and state tax statutes/regulations
- Processing and reviewing construction draws
- Working with consulting and investment divisions to grow investment and syndication platforms
- Anticipating and addressing client concerns
- Delivering quality service to clients in a timely manner
- Effective communication with both clients and staff
- Ad hoc tasks relating to Sherbert-owned properties
Requirements
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to simultaneously work with multiple projects for various clients
- Undergraduate (or preferably, graduate) degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate
- Experience with real estate transactions
- Experience with partnerships and tax – preferred
- Position located in Charlotte
