Director of Accounting — Real Estate
Our client is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations for a portfolio of real estate entities. This role carries broad responsibility across financial statement preparation, audit management, internal controls, and team leadership, and partners closely with senior leadership on planning and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and review financial close processes, financial statement preparation, and reporting across multiple entities in accordance with GAAP
- Manage external audit relationships and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, internal controls, and reporting requirements
- Oversee cash management, budgeting, and forecasting while advising leadership on technical accounting matters and new pronouncements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, asset management, operations, and finance teams to support project execution and organizational goals
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while driving process improvements and scalability across the portfolio
Qualifications:
- 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, specifically within the real estate development and investment industry
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA and public accounting/audit experience preferred
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
