Make a lasting impact on the lives of veterans! As the Volunteer & Donations Coordinator at The Servant Center, you’ll lead inspiring volunteer efforts and organize meaningful donation drives. This part-time role is perfect for someone passionate about service, community engagement, and honoring those who’ve served.
Essential Functions
Soliciting and Acquiring In-Kind Donations:
· Identifying and contacting potential individual and corporate donors for in-kind donations.
· Developing and maintaining relationships with donors to secure ongoing support.
· Communicating donation needs and coordinating the delivery or pick-up of items.
· Exercising discretion in accepting or declining donations based on organizational needs.
Managing In-kind Donations:
· Tracking and recording all in-kind donations, including donor information and item details, and sending thank-you notes.
· Overseeing the storage, inventory, and organization of donated items.
· Coordinating the distribution of donations to relevant programs or partner agencies and ensuring they meet specific needs.
· Maintaining accurate records of donation activity and preparing reports as needed.
Volunteer Management:
· Recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers to assist with donations, driving, landscaping, and other projects.
· Tracking and recording all volunteer hours and activities.
Relationship Building and Outreach:
· Building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and donors.
· Representing the organization in community outreach efforts to promote in-kind donation programs.
· Developing and implementing strategies to engage new donors and strengthen existing relationships.

Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as time management skills
- Basic database management skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- A high level of organization and attention to detail is a must
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with a diverse group of people.
- Passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.
- Valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions
- A mix of office-based tasks, sorting and organizing donations, and interacting with and managing volunteers.
- The worker may occasionally need to work in the evening or on weekends for special events, networking opportunities or to coordinate volunteer activities.
- The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk around to manage inside and outside volunteer projects.
- Lifting, carrying, and moving donations.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Regularly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer, and printer
