We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our team at The Sentinel of Mohegan Lake. As an HHA in our assisted living community, you will provide personalized care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living to our residents; ensuring their comfort, quality of life and, well being and their dignity. Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents. Encourage and participate in life enrichment events.
- Monitor and document residents' vital signs, conditions, and changes in health to report to nurses or supervisors.

Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, changing bed linens, and keeping residents’ rooms clean and organized.
Support residents with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals.
Escort residents to activities, meals, and appointments within the facility or externally as needed.
Follow all infection control, safety, and emergency procedures in compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) license in NY preferred or required based on state regulations.
Previous experience in assisted living, home care, or healthcare setting is a plus.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor.
