The Senior Marketing Specialist is a senior marketing professional responsible for translating marketing strategy into measurable results through creative execution, technology, digital marketing, and cross-functional collaboration. The role will focus on driving growth, community engagement, optimizing marketing investments, strengthening brand relevance, and ensuring marketing efforts support long-term strategic goals.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior resource within the Marketing team, sharing knowledge, providing guidance and support to team members, and helping ensure consistency and quality across marketing initiatives.
- Develop marketing and communications strategies that strengthen brand awareness, member engagement, and market positioning.
- Coordinate the development and execution of integrated marketing initiatives across internal teams and external creative, digital, media and technology partners, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, on brand, within budget and aligned with established marketing strategies and objectives.
- Define and steward the credit union’s brand identity across all channels and touchpoints.
- Write and develop strong content and copy across marketing channels, and plan and execute member and community events that support brand visibility and engagement.
- Manage internal and external communications, ensuring consistent, transparent messaging that strengthens employee engagement and brand reputation.
- Collaborate closely with team members, vendors, and business partners in a creative, team-oriented environment to bring marketing and branding initiatives to life.
- Drive member acquisition, cross-promotion, and retention strategies across consumer and business segments through targeted campaigns using segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and personalization strategies.
- Manage digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, GEO, SEM, paid search, content strategy, marketing automation, analytics, and conversion optimization to drive brand awareness, lead generation, member growth, and measurable return on investment.
- Track marketing campaign performance and use insights to refine strategies, improve ROI, and support member growth.
- Provide marketing performance reporting and insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead the credit union’s social media efforts, including developing and managing content, maintaining the social media calendar, monitoring trends and audience activity, tracking key performance metrics such as engagement, reach, impressions, and follower growth, and using data and insights to recommend strategies that increase engagement, grow the credit union’s social media presence, and strengthen brand awareness.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, security and compliance programs including but not limited to BSA, AML, OFAC, security, and safety, exercising awareness regarding suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year (4) college or university; degree in Marketing preferred.
- Minimum (5) years progressive experience in marketing, digital marketing, growth strategy, and related disciplines.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (or comparable graphic design software), CRM platforms, and marketing automation tools preferred.
- Prior banking or credit union marketing experience is valuable, but not required.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment using standard business equipment, with workspaces that are typically climate controlled. This role may require occasional lifting or moving of items up to 15 pounds. The position involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and frequent use of hands for tasks such as typing and operating office equipment. Unobstructed vision and hearing are essential to effectively perform job functions.
