Clinical Support Specialist

Role Title: Clinical Informaticist

Project Overview

The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring providers are effectively configured within Epic and supported during their transition into clinical workflows. This individual will also contribute to broader clinical initiatives and provide hands-on support to care teams in real-time environments.

Daily Responsibilities

• Support onboarding of new providers, including Epic customization and setup
• Provide at-the-elbow support for providers during initial days in clinic and inpatient settings
• Assist with Epic workflow optimization across inpatient and ambulatory environments
• Round with providers, nurses, and other clinicians to assess needs and provide support
• Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at improving workflow efficiency and user adoption
• Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and IT/Epic teams
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Epic, specifically:
• Inpatient provider workflows
• Nursing workflows
• Ambulatory workflows
• Ability to support provider onboarding and workflow customization
• Experience working directly with clinicians in a healthcare setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide hands-on, in-person support
  
  

Nice To Have Qualifications

• Experience with Epic Behavioral Health module
• Experience with Epic OpTime
• Clinical background (RN, clinician, respiratory therapist, rad tech or similar)
