Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Attorney licensed in Tennessee to join our team with a primary focus on real estate transactions and estate planning. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a mix of transactional work, client consultations, document drafting, and legal research with minimal supervision. This position involves working within a friendly, fast-paced, team-oriented, and client-centered environment. The candidate must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, have a keen attention to detail, teamwork skills, strong communication, client service skills, and a good personality.
Duties/ Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in areas of law such as including real estate and estate planning.
- Advise clients on estate and asset protection strategies
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives with precision and attention to detail.
- Draft, review, and negotiate residential and commercial real estate contracts, leases, and closing documents.
- Handle and execute real estate closings and title examinations.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings, as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of case progress and ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the firm to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, keeping the clients consistently updated on case status.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure a seamless client experience
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of various areas of law including estate planning and real estate.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies using LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Strong writing skills for effective legal drafting and documentation.
- Ability to manage caseload while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a law office setting is preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Tennessee
- 2 years of experience in real estate law and estate planning
- Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
