Scope:
The Hybrid Major & Mid-Level Gift Officer is responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships and securing gifts with individuals and organizations who can contribute between $2,000 and $90,000 annually to Seed Company initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain investor relationships through touchpoints, updates, and personalized financial partnership opportunities.
- Effectively manage a portfolio of 250 to 600 major (30 investor max) and mid-level investors, including individuals, organizations, and churches, primarily via phone, email, and mail to achieve set fundraising goals. Steward and cultivate existing investor major gift relationships in limited geographic areas in addition to new investors referred by these individuals.
- In-person solicitation of major gifts and investments as appropriate to achieve major gifts goals.
- Partner with designated Major Gifts Representatives to serve Major and Mid-Level investors within a given geography.
- Utilize a consultative approach to donor cultivation, aligning with investors’ philanthropic priorities and faith-based commitments.
- Exhibit professionalism and excellence in communication to build trust, respect, and long-term engagement with investors and internal teams.
- Meet and exceed established contact and solicitation benchmarks.
- Reengage lapsed investors and accurately update Salesforce with call notes and investor information.
- Execute follow-up tasks, including mailings, thank-you notes, and prayer requests, while maintaining meticulous records in Salesforce.
- Identify and facilitate the transition of high-capacity investors to the appropriate major gifts officer.
- Accept and integrate investors transitioning from the major gifts program into the structured mid-level program.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in team meetings, task forces, and training to stay informed about organizational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Contribute to organization-wide initiatives by leading or supporting projects and task forces.
- Represent Seed Company at conferences and events as needed.
- Occasionally work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional office setting and regularly utilizes standard office equipment such as laptops and smartphones.
Physical Demands:
The employee must be able to talk, hear, sit, stand, and walk regularly to perform the essential functions of this role.
Travel:
Local travel during business hours is expected, with occasional out-of-area and overnight travel. Travel to steward and solicit major gifts from investors in limited geographic areas.

- A minimum of three years of direct customer interaction experience in fundraising, sales, or customer service.

- Strong phone communication skills, including a warm tone, clear articulation, and effective pacing.
- Proven ability to build and maintain investor relationships.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating tact, patience, and professionalism.
- Strong time management and task execution abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Salary : $76,198 - $85,723
