What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at The Seattle Litigation Group, PLLC?
Small civil litigation firm in downtown Seattle is looking for an Associate Attorney with at least five years experience in civil litigation. Applicant must be capable of handling cases throughout the litigation process with supervision. Experience with motion practice essential.
The position will be responsible for civil litigation cases.
Examples of Civil Litigation Attorney responsibilities:
- Meet with clients in your office to discuss legal issues and to devise litigation strategies
- Research cases by interviewing witnesses, reading depositions, reviewing evidence and speaking with the client to determine the best strategy for their legal matter
- Draft motions and other papers. Conduct discovery. Depose party opponents, experts and third parties
- Attend all hearings on behalf of clients and argue in support of motions and papers.
- Conduct hearings and trials as required
- Assist clients with executing settlement agreements
