Job Description
We are hiring a Cafe Manager in Training for a fast-moving operation that expects professionalism, urgency, accountability, and leadership presence. This is not an assistant mindset role. This is for someone who wants to learn how to run a shift, lead a team, protect standards, and own the guest experience over a 180-day development track. We are looking for someone with maturity, discipline, strong communication, and the ability to stay sharp under pressure. You will be trained in shift leadership, team deployment, service standards, opening and closing systems, guest recovery, cleanliness, checklists, and operational control. This role is for someone who wants real responsibility and is prepared to earn it.
280-Day Development Track
This is a structured training role designed to develop the right candidate into a cafe leadership position over 280 days. Advancement is based on execution, consistency, accountability, and leadership growth.
What You'll Be Expected to Do
- Support daily cafe operations with urgency and professionalism.
- Help lead shifts and maintain standards for service, speed, cleanliness, and accuracy.
- Assist with opening, closing, checklists, drawers, and shift readiness.
- Help train team members and reinforce expectations.
- Step into greater operational responsibility through performance.
- Handle guest concerns calmly and professionally.
- Help keep the operation clean, focused, and accountable.

Mandatory Interview Requirement
All qualified candidates who move forward in the interview process will be required to complete a mandatory paid practical cook test. No candidate will be considered for placement in this role without successfully completing this step.
- Comfortable working in a real kitchen environment (heat, speed, knives/tools, sanitation standards)
- Strong communication skills and team-first attitude
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced operation
- Excellent guest service skills when working lobby shifts
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Flexible availability, including weekends/holidays as needed, within 4:00 AM – 2:00 AM
