We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Administrator to lead and drive advancement within our industrial automation systems. As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will play a pivotal role both technically through designing, programming, and optimizing control systems and as a subject matter expert advising company leadership to mutually ensure system effectiveness and reliability, process efficiency, security, and safety of automation systems within various facilities.
- Lead, guide, and advise on the purchase, design, installation, configuration and maintenance of complex operating technology equipment and software
- Serve as an OT subject matter expert to plants to deliver technical solutions and to resolve manufacturing issues and improve operational performance
- Provide guidance on short and long term strategies across manufacturing enterprise in support of business objectives
- Drive IT/OT standards and security across the industrial enterprise. Implement industry best practices and audit solutions for security compliance
- Deep understanding of PLC hardware and software, including Rockwell and other PLC brands and models. Proficient in ladder logic programming, function block diagrams, structured text, and other relevant programming languages.
- Skilled with PLC and HMI project development software such as Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View, Ignition, InTouch, C-More. Capable of creating, troubleshooting, and optimizing PLC code and HMI projects efficiently.
- Strong problem solving required. Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently, whether they are related to hardware, software, or the control process.
- Effective communication skills. Ability to understand requirements and convey ideas and solutions. Demonstrative ability to document the PLC code, wiring diagrams, and system configurations.
- A commitment to continuous learning, whether through self-study, industry training, or certifications to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, automation engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Proficiency in a wide range of PLC and HMI brands and software platforms.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panel design, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Ability to travel 25 - 50%
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
