We are looking for a Shipping Clerk who will join our Scotts Miracle Gro team in Marysville, OH .
Starting pay of $18.50 paid biweekly
Automatic pay increases while on the step progression program
$1,000 signing bonus paid out in your first paycheck
The Shipping Clerk will report to the Shipping Supervisor. This assignment will involve performing timely processing of labels, picking tickets, bar code labels and other paperwork involved with shipping customer orders. This person will also have daily interaction with truck drivers, loading crews and other warehouse and office associates to insure smooth and efficient flow of work.
Typical work may include but is not limited to:
Prepare documentation for all loads, matching everything up in the correct order
Organize the physical placement of carriers to insure quick retrieval of product
Perform all SAP transitions in the IM and WM modules
Being able to prioritize daily tasks with continuous interruptions and changing priorities
Special projects or other duties as assigned
Comply with housekeeping and safety rules
The perfect person will have:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Basic understanding of distribution, transportation, and freight routing
Ability to work well with other associates (teamwork)
Ability to work independently, handle adverse situations and problem solve
Effective communication and time management
Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
Proper e-mail and phone etiquette
Effective use of calculator, fax, copier, printers, and other general office equipment
Ability to adapt to flexible work schedule including overtime
Be willing to work weekends during peak season (November – June)
Some other nice to haves:
Knowledge in SAP is a plus
