Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Four years of full-time professional experience in grant writing grant administration, or financial compliance.
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
  • Experience and proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Educational Leadership, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience with federal grant programs within public education.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, regulations, codes, and standards related to the area of responsibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines.
  • Ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned and timely decisions.
  • Ability to think critically, have a high standard of integrity, and be motivated to incorporate best practices into the organizational structure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally within a diverse work environment.
  • Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, organize and present information in a meaningful manner.
  • Ability to utilize data and information to make decisions and projections.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Typical duties include but are not limited to:
  • Research and identify new public and private grant funding opportunities aligned with district priorities.
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of grant proposals, including gathering data, writing narratives, preparing budgets, and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Oversee and support the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of grant-funded programs, special projects, and pilot initiatives to ensure effectiveness and compliance with all regulations and guidelines.
  • Monitor active grant projects to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including allowable expenditures and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between the district and funding agencies to interpret grant guidelines and requirements.
  • Collaborate with District staff, community stakeholders, and funding agencies to assess needs and identify appropriate grant opportunities.
  • Analyze and interpret program data to evaluate outcomes, guide decision-making, and ensure effective use of resources.
  • Coordinate audits and evaluations related to grant-funded programs.
  • Provide training and support to Principals and staff on grant application and administration processes.
  • Prepare and submit required reports, amendments, and documentation to funding agencies.
  • Assist in developing district-wide grant policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve requisition and expense transactions.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
