Schochet is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Fresh Pond Apartments, a 500 unit family apartment community located in Cambridge, MA. Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all aspects of the apartment leasing process, including administrative duties, rent and fee processing, waitlist management, notices, and evictions
- Supervise the Compliance Department to ensure all HUD and Section 8 requirements are met
- Inspect market-ready units for lease acceptance and resident move-ins
- Submit and process TRACS and HAP payments
- Monitor, prepare, and analyze property reports using Yardi
- Promote positive resident relations and respond to resident concerns and complaints
- Provide assistance and operational back-up to the Sr. Property Manager
- Assume responsibility for property operations and staff supervision in the absence of the Property Manager
Qualifications
- 3 years of property management experience, including a background in Section 8 housing
- Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) or equivalent certification required
- Additional IREM certifications preferred
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Yardi experience a plus
