Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait lists.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
- Upsell menu items and specials confidently to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and resetting tables promptly to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and providing exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts or special events like catering events.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including host/hostess roles or serving positions.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast or similar platforms for order processing and cashiering.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
