What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Maintenance Assistant position at The Savings Bank?
We are seeking Part Time (20 hours week) skilled and reliable General Maintenance Assistant to join our facilities team. The General Maintenance Assistant supports the upkeep and efficient operation of our bank facilities. This position is responsible for performing general maintenance, coordinating small renovation projects, and ensuring that all bank branches an offices remain safe, functional and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs on the bank’s physical facilities, furnishings, and equipment as needed.
- Plans, coordinates, and completes small inhouse construction, remodeling, and improvement projects.
- Works closely with Purchasing Officer and outside vendors to arrange for repair services and procure supplies.
- Performs carpentry, painting, and other general building maintenance taks.
- Conducts minor plumbing and electrical repairs within code limitations and safety standards.
Requirements:
- High School diploma
- 3-5 years’ experience in trade, facilities, and maintenance
- Basic knowledge of building mechanical systems
- Basic knowledge of construction trades
- Mechanical aptitude
- Valid divers license required for daily travel to branch offices
Hours:
- 20 Hours a week Monday – Friday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Salary Range:
- $21.27 – $27.63 - $34.04
