Job description
Job Title: Staffing Coordinator
FLSA Class: Non-Exempt
Summary of Position
To ensure that facility is staffed on a daily basis to meet resident needs. Participate in the hiring process by assisting to interview, and orientation process. Work with the business office to ensure a timely and accurate payroll.
Special Requirements of the Position
1. Complete daily staffing sheets.
2. Ensure adequate staffing numbers to meet resident needs and regulation requirements.
3. Replace call-ins with other appropriate staff members on a daily basis.
4. Monitor staff attendance and report to Director of Nursing policy violations.
5. Process staff punch control sheets for payroll
6. Conduct orientation program for new employees. Educate new employees about their job description, policies & procedures of the facility, paperwork, fire and disaster plans, resident rights, safety, confidentiality, and other information specific to their position.
7. Conduct CNA and CMT interviews, complete reference checks on potential hires, verify their certificates with DOA for status.
8. Assist on divisions as needed with residents.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
10. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations as outlined in the Corporate Compliance Program Manual.
