Full-Time Greenskeeper – Golf Course Maintenance
Location: The Santaluz Club | San Diego, CA
Schedule: Full-Time | Early Morning Shifts | Flexible AM Availability Required

The Santaluz Club, a prestigious private golf community in San Diego, is hiring a Full-Time Greenskeeper to join our Golf Course Maintenance Team. If you enjoy working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, and take pride in keeping landscapes pristine, we want to hear from you!

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, the Greenskeeper is responsible for the daily upkeep and care of our Golf Course and surrounding landscape. This hands-on role supports course readiness each morning and requires a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs
• Trim trees and shrubs to maintain course aesthetics and safety
• Rake and maintain bunkers to club standards
• Operate large machinery (mowers, tractors, blowers, etc.)
• Drive and operate SandPros and golf carts
• Perform general course setup and landscaping duties
• Work on a variety of terrain, including steep and uneven surfaces

Requirements:

• Must have reliable transportation to support early morning shifts
• Must have flexible and open morning availability (Monday through Sunday)
• Able to stand, crouch, push, pull, and lift 50 lbs for extended periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, or wet weather
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety

Resumen del Puesto:
Bajo la supervisión del Superintendente y el Asistente del Superintendente, el Greenkeeper es responsable del mantenimiento y cuidado diario del campo de golf y las áreas circundantes. Este puesto práctico apoya la preparación del campo cada mañana y requiere una actitud proactiva y orientada al trabajo en equipo.

Responsabilidades:

• Cortar greens, tees, fairways y roughs
• Podar árboles y arbustos para mantener la estética y seguridad del campo
• Rastrillar y mantener los bunkers según los estándares del club
• Operar maquinaria pesada (cortadoras, tractores, sopladoras, etc.)
• Conducir y operar SandPros y carritos de golf
• Realizar tareas generales de preparación del campo y paisajismo
• Trabajar en diversos tipos de terreno, incluyendo superficies empinadas y desniveladas

Requisitos:

• Transporte confiable para cumplir con turnos temprano por la mañana
• Disponibilidad flexible y abierta por las mañanas (lunes a domingo)
• Capacidad para estar de pie, agacharse, empujar, jalar y levantar más de 50 libras por períodos prolongados
• Comodidad para trabajar al aire libre en condiciones de calor, frío o lluvia
• Persona automotivada, con capacidad para trabajar de forma independiente y en equipo
• Atención al detalle y fuerte compromiso con la calidad y la seguridad
