Direct Report: Director of Housekeeping
Purpose: The Inspector ensures standards are met by auditing guest rooms, public areas, and amenities for cleanliness and safety.
OVERVIEW:
The Inspector verifies that rooms are properly prepared for arrivals, reports maintenance issues, monitors staff performance, and ensures compliance with brand standards to maintain a positive guest experience.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Inspect guest rooms following highest quality standards
- Verifies that rooms and residences are staged and prepared for guest arrival
- Reports maintenance needs accordingly
- Monitors and helps with the creation of daily housekeeping boards/assignments
- Assists with performing inventory of linen and supplies
- Ensures employees are using/handling cleaning chemicals safely
- On occasion and during off season will be required to clean rooms
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Ability to remain standing for up to 10 hours
- Ability to move up and down stairs
- Ability to move quickly based on guest needs
- Ability to regularly move and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places.
- Ability to observe conditions and detect odors
- Ability to notice and inspect small details
- Ability to position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces
- Ability to operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters
- Ability to communicate and exchange information effectively
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
- Ability to complete a satisfactory background check
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires

- Must know how to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashion. Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and stay focused while maintaining hospitality
