What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Camp Counselor (5246) position at THE SALVATION ARMY?
Schedule/Hours: Monday- Friday (40 hours per week)
This position is responsible for:
Planning and providing activities and childcare services for children participating in the Summer Day Camp Program; plans, develops, and facilitates recreational activities and play time; prepares and maintains program records; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner.
- Facilitates activities for school age children; ensures that activities are age appropriate, stimulating, fun and safe for the children.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
- High School Diploma or GED or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Valid state driver's license
