JOB SUMMARY: Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to assigned locations for Corps/Area Command Christmas Angel Tree
program donations and gifts and/or Christmas Kettle program transportation of bell ringers to designated
worksites; ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This job description should not be considered as all-inclusive. It is

be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those stated in this job description.
Drives vans to transport bells ringers to kettle work sites and picks up bell ringers at designated work site
back to Corps or Area Command locations.
- Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from assigned locations to pick up gifts and take to the Christmas warehouse and/or Corps; organizes schedule pick-ups by most direct route to arrive at destinations according to schedule.
- Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to homes, agencies, churches and any other designated location to pickup gifts, stockings, etc. for delivery to the Corps.
- Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from Drive-thru and/or drop-off events at Malls or other assigned locations.
- Maintains cleanliness of truck and/or van inside and outside.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read and communicate the English language effectively.
- Ability to operate commercial equipment.
- Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing duties given.
- Ability to perform general cleaning activities for building.
- Ability to safely transport employees in a van.
- Ability to perform all duties with an understanding of the mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol of The Salvation Army and conducts all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.
- Ability to perform continuous stooping, standing and climbing as well as lift and carry and/or push/pull moderate (25 – 50 lbs) and possibly heavy (50-100 lbs) materials and donations.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed outside with exposure to changes in weather and outdoor conditions including dirt, dust and/or disagreeable sights and odors
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED AND
- A minimum of two years driving experience.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
