Camp Activities Coordinator
Schedule/Hours: On-Site / Full Time
This position is responsible for:
Provides year-round planning, support and daily supervision for all camp recreational activities including the preparation, implementation, and reset of all guests recreational activities This position is ideal for someone passionate about Christian values, camp life, and leadership development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans, coordinates, monitors and supervises the day-to-day operations of the camp recreational activities and all recreational areas, fields, and courts including waterfront activities, nature, arts & crafts, bicycling, archery, outdoor skills/camping, challenge course and audio/visual; ensures that recreational activities run smoothly and in compliance with established procedures.

Supervises activities support staff; implements and evaluates camp activities based on changing needs of year-round camp guests.

Assists the Guest Services Director in planning and preparing all event setups for guest meeting spaces up to and during events.

Monitors, evaluates and ensures the proper operation of the swimming pool by maintaining appropriate licensing to operate; ensures daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and ensures records are maintained; ensures that the following items are conducted: preventative maintenance on equipment, tests for Ncl and pH levels, and samples submitted to lab; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must live on the camp premises in employer-designated housing; ability to move quickly across multi-building campus and respond to emergencies at any hour.
Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid; Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers.
Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity.
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Some physical requirements of this position include physical endurance to perform climbing, standing for long periods of time on a regular basis, repetitive bending, repetitive stooping, and repetitive stretching on a regular basis.
Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate activities are required.
Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program in the facility available. Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and varying environmental conditions.
Qualifications:WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent
AND
Two years’ experience supporting recreational activities with experience supporting youth programs Required:
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
Lifeguard Certification (CPR/AED/First Aid
Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
NASP BAITS (National Archery Schools Program Trainer)
American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor including Waterfront certification
PRCALevel 1 and Authorized Rescuer Certification.
*Must obtain these certifications within the first six months of employment*
Residency Requirement (Condition of Employment)
Maintaining primary residence in employer-provided, on-site housing is a condition of employment; failure to comply may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Employees must sign a Housing/Occupancy Agreement outlining house rules, permissible occupants, maintenance, safety protocols, and move-out obligations.
Time away from camp must be coordinated in advance to ensure continuous on-site coverage; relief coverage must be arranged per camp policy.
